📅 Sat 5th Sept 2026 | ⏰ 1.15 hr | 📍 Adventure Dolphin We are thrilled to run this beginner session alongside the very first #ShePaddles Development Day in the South! If you have never been on a Paddleboard before, or have only tried it a handful of times, this empowering, female-only taster session is designed just for you. Hosted by Adventure Dolphin and supported by Paddle UK, you will learn the basics from our incredible female coaches before joining the rest of the community for a social BBQ. 🚣‍♀️ Is This Event for Me? This session is specially designed for absolute beginners! Requirements: No prior experience is necessary. If you class yourself as a beginner, want to try something brand new, or just want to build your confidence on the water from scratch, this is the perfect place to start. If you are already comfortable paddling forwards, backwards, and want specialised skill workshops, please check out our separate Development Day event instead. For ages 7+ 🌟 What You Will Learn Our friendly coaches will guide you step-by-step through a relaxed, fun introduction to the sport. You will cover: Getting onto and off of a paddleboard safely. Basic paddle strokes to move forward, backward, and turning. Fun, low-pressure activities to get you feeling balanced and confident on the water. 🎒 Equipment & Extra Info Gear Provided: All specialised equipment is included! What to Wear: Wear comfortable sportswear (avoid heavy cotton or denim) and lightweight footwear (closed-toe shoes or water shoes). Bring a full change of clothes and a towel just in case! Food & Social: After your time on the water, you are invited to join our social BBQ to chat, relax, and swap stories with coaches and fellow female paddlers. 🎟️ Tickets & Waitlist Information Spaces are limited to ensure a highly supportive and safe coach-to-paddler ratio. If tickets are sold out, please don't stress! Join the waitlist—if there is enough demand and requirement, we will do our best to create more spaces.
