Our centre at Pangbourne has just been rebuilt, with some brilliant new facilities.
New building
The present building has served us well for forty-five years but it is a wooden structure and does not meet present day building and disability access requirements. Increase in usage over the years by the local community, youth service and activity groups has also meant that we have outgrown the present facilities.
During 2005 West Berkshire Council completed a feasibility study of the facility and decided that the building needed replacing. They provisionally allocated £1.1 million for this project and the Adventure Dolphin Management Committee raised the balance of £500,000.
It is tough being a young person today and we aim to give them the best facilities and opportunities we can to help them have fun and become positive members of our community.
