Good Turn Out For The PaddleSport Wavehopper Event

Congratulations to all of our paddlers for performing so well. Adventure Dolphin Pangbourne and Newbury teams had some of the fastest times of the day!It was a great turn out, with 44 people from different clubs,includingAdventure Dolphin Newbury and Pangbourne, BlackWaterValley, Basingstoke CC, Sharks and many others.Overall it was agreat day for everyone involved, with the following results:

The Verge

Newbury’s Verge and Monday Evening Paddling clubs teamed up on Monday 21st Nov. and again on Monday 12th Dec. for somewater polo matches in the Mary Hare school pool. The games started at 7pm and an hour later we dragged our battered and exhausted bodies from the pool, marvelling at the levels of frantic comptetiveness of the girls and the dirty tactics and downright cheating of th boys, and that’s just the staff……

We are now coming to the end of our first term with Xodus. Current SituationI started working at the centre in 2005 and was responsible for the development of paddling for club members. A number of the younger paddlers at the centre expressed an interest in coaching and quickly become involved with the Cadet Leader scheme. The group grew in size to 20 young people regularly attending training sessions and helping with courses but there was one striking characteristic about the group they where
